One of the first songs a small child learns is the ABC song. So, here we have a launching pad to take this all too familiar ditty to tell the Christmas Story based on the Word of God. A rhyming verse with each letter should engage the young, while the Scriptural texts from both Old and/or New Testaments for each letter are found at the bottom of each page for the older reader.
The A, B, Cs of Christmas can be shared with Preschools or Kindergarten classes. or consider for family devotions perhaps through the season of Advent with one letter for each day alongside an Advent calendar and/or lighting an Advent Wreath. Everyone, including our seniors, may enjoy reflecting on the various seasonal hymns and carols selected for each letter.
